The Malta Human Services Foundation
The Malta Human Services Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) supporting organization that has as its sole purpose the support of the Grants Program of the American Association. Currently, it distributes 5 percent of a three year rolling average of the value of its investments to the American Association each year.
In 2004, 32 percent of the grants given by the American Association were funded by the Foundation. The Foundation Board intends to increase the size of the Foundation so that it can provide even greater support to the American Association Grants Program.
All non-Board of Councillor Members of the the Foundation Board sit on the Association Grants Committee as part of the Committee appointed by the President of the Association. Final approval of all grants is vested in the Association Board of Councillors.
